IGCSE Information
The IGCSE (or International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a certificate of secondary education accredited by the UK government. Students passing IGCSE exam can use this certificate as an equivalent to a high school diploma and apply for international universities in Thailand. The IGCSE comprises of various test subjects covering speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills as well as other skills like science, maths and social studies. IGCSE offers 2 different kinds of the test including Core and Extended.
- Extended - Suitable for more advanced students. This exam contains all of the key core skills as well as more challenging subject matter. The exam is graded A, B, C, D and E.
- Core - This exam evaluates students’ overall skills and focuses on general information in each subject. Students are graded either C,D,E,F or G.

- Course Duration - One subject includes 20 hours study. We divide each subject into 2 parts; 16 hours for text book and 4 hours for test based. Students are ensured to get idea and knowledge of all subjects as well as to practice how to do the test effectively.
- Class size - Maximum 8 students (in group class). We also offer private class (one on one) and semi-private class (2-3 students) as well. For more information, call now 02-675-3915!
- Teachers - Language Express offers both native Thai teachers and native English teachers for our IGCSE course. For group class, students will study with Thai teachers only. However, for private or semi private classes, students can choose to study with Thai or English teachers. We guarantee that both Thai and foreign teachers here are high experienced and qualified. Teachers are not only the teachers for you, but also the advisers as well.
Who can take the IGCSE exam?
The British council, the test administrator in Thailand, does not require a minimum age of students who want to take a test. However, Language Express recommends that students should be at least 15 in order to take a test as the content in IGCSE covers most areas in high school and can be quite challenging to younger students.
