Michael Ratcliff (Founder/Director)

M.Ed, B.A, Grad Cert TESOL, Cert IV TAA, Cert IV TESOL, JP

Michael has been working in Language Education since 1991. He taught for several years at Victoria College, (Melbourne) and Edith Cowan University (Perth) and then in Japan, South Korea and Thailand, before moving into educational management. In 2000 he opened his first language school in Osaka. And in 2005, together with Simon Cavell, he founded Greenwich College Sydney; now one of Australia’s largest language schools. Michael has also been an IELTS Examiner, a TOEIC Administrator, written accredited training courses and published more than a dozen ESL textbooks. For three years Michael was a board member of Redhill Education, which owns and operates schools and education agencies in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Medellin and Porto Alegre.

After two decades as an educator and administrator, Michael understands that students only achieve the results they are seeking when they study on well designed programs taught by trained professionals.

Simon Cavell (Founder/Director)

B.Com (Hons), CELTA, Cert IV AWPT, Cert IV TESOL

Simon, originally from Cambridge England, has been involved in education since 1990, working at schools and colleges in Australia, England, Italy, Japan, and Thailand. He has an Honours Degree in Economics, a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and corporate training qualifications. Before commencing his own business career, Simon was as an administrator at Japan’s largest English education provider, and worked for the Osaka Board of Education. Over the past decade he has owned and operated schools in Japan, Australia and Thailand.

Simon has lived in Thailand for a number of years and is passionate about delivering quality language education to his students. He is delighted to bring this style of learning to Thailand.
