I found the quality of Language Expresses Thai course exceptional. The teachers helped develop my conversation skills from lesson one and I was talking pretty much from the first lesson.

I used to study Thai on my own and got help from Thai friends … I could speak a little bit but I never really learned the correct pronunciation... I have learned a lot here and recommend it to anyone serious about learning to speak Thai.

Thai Education Visa
HOW TO APPLY FOR A THAI EDUCATION VISA
Applying for an ED VISA can initially seem like a daunting prospect but at Language Express our staff will ensure you have the smoothest possible experience.
Upon enrolling with Language Express you will be assigned a staff member who will take care of your application and guide you through all the procedures. This staff member will also help you fill in all the forms and assist you to gather the information you need to successfully complete your visa application.
When all the material has been assembled, you will need to lodge your application at a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate General. Our staff can advise you on travel details, and will provide you with a checklist of all the items you need so you can be sure you are fully prepared.
Once you have the visa and have returned to Thailand they will confirm your status with the Ministry of Education and prepare the documents required for your visit to the Immigration office. After your initial visit to Immigration you will need to maintain your status as a Thai language student at Language Express and make 90 days visits to your local Immigration office.
Each government office has its own unique way of doing things, but by following the advice of our staff we can process your Education Visa application as smoothly as possible.
Upon receipt of your visa make sure you contact our staff at least two weeks before each 90 visit. It’s a good idea to write your dates in a calendar and to check your passport regularly. Likewise, keep on top of changes by the Foreign Ministry by checking their website.

Visiting the Embassy
- At the Embassy you fill out the Application Form provided, pay the fee and leave.
- Return at the assigned time to pick up the passport with the Education Visa. This is usually the following afternoon, but varies depending on the consulate or embassy you visit.
- Most Embassies only accept applications in the morning (e.g., 8:30 am – 11.30 am) but check the operating hours of the Embassy you intend to use, as hours vary from country to country.
- Try to arrive at least 15 minutes before opening time as the Embassies can get very busy.
- Bring a pen (blue/black) as many Embassies do not provide them. It’s also useful to bring something hard to write on (such as book or folder), as desk space can be limited.
